How to Check That a Part Fits

Southern Small Engine Parts cannot select or identify a part for your machine. Use this checklist to compare the listing with your original part and equipment information before placing an order.

Continue your lookup

Search the catalog again for 0000-951-6500 and compare every result carefully.

Search This Part Number

1. Start with the manufacturer part number

Match the complete number on the listing to your original part, parts diagram, or manufacturer documentation. Spaces and dashes may be formatted differently, but every letter and digit should agree.

2. Check the equipment model and type plate

Confirm the full model designation, not just the product family. Model and serial plates are often on the starter housing, fan shroud, frame, or handle and tank area.

3. Review serial and production limits

Machines with the same model name can use different parts across production dates and serial ranges. Treat any limitation on the product page as an important boundary.

4. Compare every product photo

Compare mounting points, connectors, dimensions, shape, color, and included pieces. Do not order only because a part looks generally similar.

5. Stop if the information conflicts

If the part number, model, production range, or photos do not agree, do not order yet. Consult the equipment manufacturer, an authorized dealer, or a qualified repair shop.
